We have always loved Italy, we have always loved Tuscany and we have always loved the Chianti. And each of our trips there ended with a visit to Radda to admire the beautiful surroundings with fantastic views, to enjoy the picturesque town and the excellent culinary delights and to stock up on them before our journey home.
So when we decided to look for our 'home away from home', it was clear: It's going to be Italy, it's going to be Tuscany, it's going to be Chianti!
We were looking for a place with a fantastic view, quiet but not lonely and within walking distance of a pretty town with good restaurants, Tuscan flair and all the infrastructure that you need on a daily basis.
And of course the house had to have Tuscan charm and a swimming pool could not be missing.
And what luck, we found all this in Radda!
And why is our refuge called Cielo di Radda?

Our villa in Radda
Our villa is typically Tuscan and modern at the same time. It is easily accessible via a small, private cut-de-sac road.
Located on the hillside, it offers three double bedrooms and two bathrooms on the lower floor. The upper floor opens to the garden. There, an open space with a living area, dining area and modern kitchen divided only by arches extends over the entire floor. A guest toilet area with a wash anteroom is attached.
Panoramic windows facing south and west provide plenty of light and offer wonderful views of the Tuscan countryside. Beamed and tiled ceilings adorn all rooms. The Tuscan antiques are complemented by modern design elements and luxury equipment.
In the garden you can relax on the sunbathing lawn by the private pool or enjoy the views of Radda above the olive grove, the pool and the wider area under the pergola.
The location at almost 600 meters ensures a cooling breeze. The thick stone walls also keep the house at a comfortable temperature. On cooler evenings, the fireplace provides soothing warmth and of course there is also central heating.
